Henna Hands and My Journal Kit

Hand

Journaling the paper mache hand, the concept, still gelling.....a continuation of the Snow Queen story...

Henna_hand

adding color to explore more henna hands....rummaging through Tess's room to find....

Journal_kit

the perfect tin for my traveling journaling kit for Michelle's GPP Street Team challenge.  It contains the gel pens I like to use, caran d'ache crayons (must have those) scissors (better find some travel scissors), glue stick.....some glitter glue.  Gathering words that I'll be using....see, I'll be needing this kit when we travel to Tess's college graduation in June.  COLLEGE graduation...what??? how did THAT happen??

It will fit perfectly in my big bag and there's plenty of room for that Kleenex that I'll be needing too.

XO

ooooooooooooooo

loving this - hands, henna, hennaed hands...

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

oh yes - love the whole kit and caboodle...

xox - eb.

I love how you journaled yesterday's post! The pages are great and I love your tin too! Everything's in there neatly squared away. Perfect!

what great hands!
but listen...

i was just over at jills/follow your bliss,
looking at her little travel suitcase
and
i said,
~~girl, you better have some *red*glitter*glue* in that bag~~

and then i pop over here
and WHAT do you have in your to-go kit?
what??

yes!!
!!
*red*glitter*glue*
that is what i am talking about...

no matter how old your daughter is,
graduating from kindergarten
or college,
you know things will be OK in the world
when you have *red*glitter*glue* in your bag,
or at least,
that is how i feel about it.

[[ way better than lipstick ]]

steph - love the hands!!! fun to see them transformed from dimension to page. i want to reach out and touch one, and place in it a rose petal, and the other i want to high five :) great little kit with all the essentials like that SHARPIE - it looks so wide - does that mean it has a big fat tip too? cool! thanks for sharing all this inspiration with the team!!

graduation from COLLEGE? didn't it seem like you were wearing the black gown just yesterday??? congrats!

What a great page!..NOW I see what's happening with that once-glass hand form that you "transformed" so beautifully.
Great kit. Looks like you could create books and books with those essentials. I'll remind you about the kleenex when the time comes.

Great post, as usual!
Lisa

I am intrigued by what you have done with the hands!!! It makes me want to get started on my hand idea, but alas, I must finish other stuff first. LOVE what you've done!
AND......what a beautiful kleenex moment it will be!!!! :-)
Hugs to you!
Michelle

I very much like the direction the hands took; breathtakingly beautiful.
daughters graduating. I can relate. Wasn't it just yesterday......?

You have so many beautiful pictures here !
I really love to seeing how you capture your surrounding in particular angle (I wish i can learn that too).
It such a beautiful tin dedicated for your wonderful kit.

Looks like you are also a fan of Sakuri gel pens! Aren't they awesome? My son gave me a whole ton of them for Christmas last year and they are the best out there!

Nice kit too!

Beautiful journal pages and very cool little kit! I've got to get me some of those gel pens.
