Every time I see your Monarch images, I think I should tell you my Monarch encounter...several years ago, before I knew anything about how unbelievably amazing the Monarch migration truly is, I was in the Kansas City airport. After a long and grueling flight, I was standing in the line for a taxi and was amazed to find myself in a swarm of Monarchs...they airport was built in the path of there migration. Thousands of them were winging their way north, in spite of the horrific noise, smell of jet fuel, and constant chaos of moving people. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. They were literally touching my face, undaunted. I never forgot it but didn't know the global significance until I saw a documentary about the migration. So each of your beautiful images (and EB's as well) bring me back to that place of amazement...so thanks for sharing! smooches
