I would highly recommend...gathering some friends to play with paint...
some of us were out of town...
some had other commitments...but Char and I spent a couple hours together...painting
Char's beautiful couple that echo and compliment her sculpture
I was painting big poppy seed pods on red rosin paper that remind me of a little family...
this is a new year's resolution we won't break.

They are both stunning! I can see why you would want to continue this tradition. It is a wonderful stress busting, crafting, creating with a friend.

Happy New Year, Stephanie! You have been having yourself some fun! Your poppy painting is exuberant. I love the colors. And the wax and tea bags. . . Somehow I have myself intimidated by wax. I have all the fixings but have not applied it. I think i need to jump in and do it. Thanks for your support and comments on my blog. It made my day. xxo

What a great idea, Stephanie! I've been thinking of having a girls art day here in February and you've inspired me to actually start planning a day. The colours in your poppy painting are so bright, vivid and happy. It's a good mid-January reminder of the summer that is to come - ahhh, summer!

Yes and have tried that out and it is a lot of fun to paint with a friend. Love the poppy's. Have the wax in the studio but hasn't been used as of yet. Great work, great fun. Thanks for sharing.

Wow,
your piece came out gorgeous! I love it. I really missed not painting that day. but, as things settle in the gallery, I will be back! It has been inspiring as we all manage to find our voice, and stretch and evolve our art muscles. I am grateful for these opportunities.
tooooo much fun!
