Heading home...did not have much extra time to explore this beautiful place...next time
but Mr R fed me incredible images from home. Walking Olive he glanced up to see this beautiful creature. It's a high res image so I think if you click it will show you all the details...those eyes!

WOW!
where exactly did he spy this beauty, especially at a time when it could be captured on camera? the ones i saw in the neighborhood were at dusk, at dawn (both of those in flight), and late at night calling to each other from the tops of trees on third avenue. i dream of photographing one some day!
