Apronista Love

I heard about this apron event from my friend EllynAnne, queen of all things apron...and being somewhat of an apronista myself thought I would join in.  It began yesterday, I'm a bit late to the party but you have time, go HERE to see all the amazing aprons and get in on the apron giveaways.

A Bumper Crop of Aprons

Just in time for Mother's Day!!  I love putting together these aprons with all the fresh new colors of spring!

Going to ArtFest

I had a couple of orders for aprons to make this weekend so I thought I'd make myself one too (like the cobbler's family who never has shoes?? I don't have an apron).  I'm taking this to ArtFest! in just 2 1/2 weeks!  I made as many trades as I could, about 50 and still have supplies I need to buy.

The green apron is for Heather, so they'll be 2 Rodrigvitz Style apron's running around.

I found the rack that the bags and apron's are hanging from in the trash behind a store last week.  I heard that retailer's just throw these things out when they need to spruce up but have never seen any before.

I grabbed it, cleaned it up a bit and it works great to keep things organized in the studio as well as display for shows.

I doubt I'll be getting too much more done before the end of the month because Tess is coming home for spring break on Wed!! Woo hoo!! 

Then I'll need to set a date for my annual Spring Sale...and get busy sewing....maybe the Saturday before Mother's Day?  I deck the yard out in oilcloth brightness and invite everyone in, you're all invited of course!  I know I usually love to plant my pots that weekend but if it's nice folks will enjoy getting out and doing a little shopping I hope.

Holiday Show weekend

I've just gotten back into the 'doing shows/sales' thing.  I used to do this regularly years ago but have just this past year begun again.  The best part for me was, and still is, meeting the other artist/craftspeople doing the show.  So much talent and creativity!  In a post I will do sometime next week I will introduce you all to one wonderful women I met at the show this weekend.

The other great part of doing this is of course meeting folks who find their way into my space and are interested in what I am doing.  I had many young visitor's who left me picture's on my chalkmats!

I really enjoy doing this despite the reality of very long hours and hard work setting up and tearing down.

Everywhere I look; Aprons!

I spent the weekend in the studio sewing little girl's aprons.  All the colors and patterns look like candies spread across the floor.

I have so much fun putting all the patterns together.  It would probably go much faster if I could make 2 that are the same, but I just can't seem to do that!
