Last years Dia de Bloglandia opened doors to new friends and joy of celebrating loved ones that have passed away in the tradition of Dia de los Muertos. By creating shrines and offrendas, stories and memories we celebrate the duality of life and death and remember the lives and joys. This holiday is celebrated by the entire community of Oaxaca Mexico with thousands of marigold blooms covering alters and graves and artwork depicting those in death enjoying the everyday joys of life. This year I invite you to create a shrine to donate to Rebecca's Shrine Auction, raising funds for the Street Children of Oaxaca. If you find it in your heart to participate in both that would be wonderful.
