Spring Awakening

just itching to dig into another bag of clay...to set free more wood nymphs and spring creatures

readying wood nymph, bird boy and BEE totems for the Awakening show that opens this Sunday.

One Day in Balance

We ushered in the vernal equinox with the Capistrano Bird show at Rabid Rabits...this is a time of balance, equal time of light and dark.

It feels as if the world is tipping more darkly....but it felt good to renew our energies...together...

with bird imagery...

in many different media...

and take a few moments to celebrate the good

we will open our hearts to the world again but it was lovely to savor the beauty for a moment.

 

Come on in out of the COLD

It seems to be COLD in much of the country so come on in to the Rabid Rabits Galeria and warm your heART.

We had a great turnout on Sunday for the opening of this show that runs through March.  I have a few new Kitchen Goddesses for you...

as well as work from many talented artists.

The family came out for a glass of champagne...orange juice ice cubes dropped into champagne, such a great idea

and many tasty cupcakes to enjoy

while you view the variety of artwork.

Barry Snyder's “The Door is Ajar"  is a recycled door covered in produce stickers that re-create a Kuner Brand Pickle Jar.  The artist is working with the Kuner Company to collect food for a local food bank.  The Kuner company has agreed to match all food donations.  So we are encouraging the community to bring a non-perishable food item when you come to the opening or anytime during the exhibition and help out our local food banks. 

The show is up through Feb 26th.

This Friday...at the Muse Gallery, 356 Main St in Longmont, is the opening for the EcoCreations show.

it was hugely! attended last year and a lot of fun so I hope you can all come out, it's supposed to be well above zero on Friday so you won't freeze...

and

I am SO excited because Lady Bug Circus herself is in the show too!

 
How fun to be in a show with Jenny!  She won't be there but we'll party it up in her honor and take lots of pics.
