Getting some last minute painting in...

and finally getting the studio cleaned up a bit for the Studio Tour this Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 - 5:00

With the EBCA studio fast approaching...and barely being able to walk in the studio I am finding JOY in cleaning up...spring cleaning as snow flakes fell

I will also find JOY in drawing these brittle blooms.

my bicycle, which is Jamaica laden, carried me out and away...

to enjoy the last bits of this long glorious time off.  Back to it all now...the studio is turned upside down and I must get it all together for the FAC in the Garden tour that begins at the Mango Studio this Friday from 5 - 9.

The yard around the Mango Studio begins to come alive...bits of green among the brown leaves.  Mr R brought a found gift...

as new bird song begins to fill the air, remains of a beautiful creature...a gift of fragile life.

The first day of the Chinese New Year...the year of the rabbit, and the temps finally warm enough for fat snow flakes to begin to fall.

After All is Said and Done

Wanted to give you a quick peek at the weekend before I drop off for some much needed sleep.  The weekend could not have been much better...the weather gorgeous, the artwork beautiful, the crowds plentiful...

here a bit of Fran's display, rich with color and texture.

 

We had two days of steady visitors and picture perfect weather...

many new faces and lots of familiar ones...

It's Buzzing around Here

We have been like busy bees...cleaning up the yard as well as the Mango Studio in anticipation of the Longmont Studio Tour this weekend.

the girls have been watching it all...

and are plum tuckered out from so much activity.

Part of getting ready for the Studio Tour is dusting off my collections...

sprucing up the shelves, bowls of heart shaped rocks, clay goddesses, old troll dolls,

tin toy menagerie...

because I am sure I am just like you....as much as I love looking at artwork,

I also LOVE to peek into artists shelves and collections, books and inspiration.

That's all part of it and fun for me too...
