EBCA 2012 Studio Tour...it's a Wrap

Two (long) weekends where we welcomed many visitors into the Mango Studio...

it all started with a preview show where people could see examples of the 52 artists and decide which venues they would like to visit.

then on to the tour...ALL of my new flower pot paintings sold...I am so very happy that they were so well received!

Roni had many people admiring her beautiful black and white photography and demo'd her polaroid transfer process for us...

Charlotte's garden sculpture, new paintings and her daughter's gorgeous origami flowers went home with many

it was quite cold at times...but we kept warm gathering around the fire

Tess came up...

and 3 generations celebrated Mothers Day at Comida with margs and tacos (sorry Tess, you have no face:))

Hope you all enjoyed your mother's day and thanks to everyone that came out for the tour...

Then and Now

I am pretty wiped out from the past weekend's studio tour...it was great! but exhausting.  Went to see Roger Waters and the Wall with my kiddo and old girlfriends.

It was an intense show, multi media, pyrotechnics...the entire Wall album

The anti war theme has been updated, does this ever end?...the audience was such a mix of old and young. There is a real following of young kids to the music, the message and the tour.

but, this is the Pink Floyd I most remember from my younger days...

Home again...

ahhh, so sweet indeed to be home...did though enjoy some wonderful reading on the long plane rides.  Mockingbird, a Portrait of Harper Lee and To Kill a Mockingbird...no! I have never read it.

Outdoor Art and Studio Tour

Wanting spring flowers around all year round...printed my new paintings on a large printer, adhered to cement board...

several layers of outdoor polyurethane...can you see Olive snoozing, she could care less

and Mr R risked life and limb to hang this on the side of the house...he can see them out his office window, my neighbors can see them out their kitchen window

and a new bright corner to our ever growing alley art collection.
