I've looked forward to Tuesday evenings for the past month as I was taking a clay totem class with Katy. We made clay 'beads' that we stacked on a 6 ft piece of rebar. Mine was meant to go in the garden but I'm not sure I can let it leave the Mango Studio....
I believe I need to make more and more and more beads
Here is a peek at some of the other totems...Claire's beautiful eastern feeling totem, she has many more wonderful beads to add to this.
Susan's....the colors have a very African feel and she's incorporating glass tile mosaic work as well...
the top of her totem capped with this lovely vintage glass rooster.
Kim's big fat beautiful bird and wonderful, colorful, textural beads.
Maureen and her pod, seed like beads with their lovely soft colors.
We took turns stacking our beads...this one is a combination of our beads...it's endless fun stacking and re-stacking the beads.
Here's our Totem team...
Check Katy's website for a blog addition soon that will tell you when you can take a class with her.
