I am amazed at how a thread of consciousness seems to run through the blogosphere and appears just at the precise moment I need it. This months challenge over at GPP Street Team is to show EVIDENCE of your existence in 2007 and journal your blog.
At the new year I told myself I would create a visual journal page everyday this year but have been struggling to do this. I've tried borrowing ideas from others pages that I truly admire, to play with.....to make elements my own.....but it was not until I read this challenge that I was really ignited.
I chose to use this post as I love this image of the orchid and the intent of the words.
I am so excited with the layering of paint and crayon color with the original photo that I plan on doing MANY more. Just this simple little kick in the butt to push me into a direction that really speaks to me....well thanks Michelle!
A wonderful idea, the post you chose for this project was perfect. A wonderful image and inspiring words.

Stephanie - terrific pages! Love seeing the original post you linked to and then how it transformed onto a page. Great way to stretch what you have. Amazing isn't it that all we really need is within our grasp? So glad this crusade clicked with you at this time. Thanks for sharing with the team :)

It's neat to hear from others who are struggling to keep making art, too... most of us have similar challenges making and finding time and/or inspiration or both! It's encouraging to see others break through and make such cool stuff like you did... doesn't it feel great? Love your work!
