It's always fun to discover new tools, new materials and play around with them. I told you about the tape, flashing tape it's called I'm told....made another lined box,
For another recycled piece, the Poppy Goddess has a new home....
I've been waiting... patiently... for UPS to deliver more new tools and materials so that I could join in this months GPP Street Team Challenge. I cut a few right away...
New Tools.....
For my first stamp I carved a copy of a 'borrowed' stamp. I've been using this a lot and knew I wanted the shape for my own. Cutting out the tiny circles....a bit of a challenge....any hints? There is probably a special tool for this.
I had an easier time cutting these circles....my next stamp?....a mask for a henna hand and a carved patterned henna hand....
Lot's of ideas churning 'round....
Stephanie - I'm loving what you're doing with the metal tape! And yay that your tools arrived. Such a pro you are - especially to take on cutting around those circles. Yikes!! Fab designs - thanks for sharing with the crusaders. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Great work with the flashing tape, I have some and haven't started to play with it yet. Great stamps, love the first one especially. I wonder if using the tip for an icing bag might not help to get a good "hole" cut. -Kim

Gorgeous stamps, all of them. Could a screw punch make the holes in the carving material? I have to try that soon to see if it works. Thanks for jogging my mind :)

Beautiful designs! I haven't figured out how to do tiny dots either.

Can you hear me saying "oooooooohhhh!" all the way from here? Everything is so fabulous! The shrine and the goddess are simply amazing. And you've got me pondering. I wonder if there's a way to combine the tape and the stamps? Hmm!

Don't know if this has been mentioned or not but I would use a Japanese Book Drill for making perfect holes, they are $40 or $50 and I have used mine for years in so many different ways that I can't even begin to tell you. Your flashing tape looks fabulous. Wow I had no idea. Keep it up, fantastic.
