I was at the hardware store and stumbled upon this aluminum duct tape kind-a stuff...very fun...yes Lisa I'm loving this stamp, I'll return it...promise.
I decided to use it to recycle some older pieces that never really worked for me. I painted/stamped/stenciled a box, stuck in the this 'virgen del mar' beaded piece, drew fish and seaweed-y images on the tape then lined the box with the it.
Made a 'wave' and covered it with bits of inscribed tape.....I see a new material addiction beginning!
cool stuff !

I am in love with this tape as well. Anything I can scratch into and paint is perfect, especially when it's not too thick.
Your madonna del mar is fantastic. Nothing like art recycling!!!
Can't wait to see what you do with it next.

Dear Steph,
This is a BEAUTIFUL piece of work. You have the best sense of color. So happy and soulful at the same time. Because of the round seashell choice, the Lady of the Sea reminds me how the infinity of life. The thoughts of water are always soothing to me. So nice to see how you recycled something and make it new.
Have a happy St. Paddies.

i really like how realistic she is and then flows into this other-worldly earth-motherly kind of figure. just lovely. do you have calluses on your fingers? or at least band-aides all the time?
