I'm so sorry I missed this....Edible Book Show and Tea. The idea was fascinating and the 'books' amazing. For the past nine years artists have created edible books on or around April Fool's day....
The books are on display, then, at tea time, the artists invite the audience to join them in eating the creations. Jeff Becker, who will be showing at my house with me for the East Boulder County Studio Tours next month, entered this piece last year.
All books are made with edible materials and colorings....
This is a fund raiser for the Books Arts League, a non profit community arts organization that offers free and low cost classes and workshops and promotes the arts of letterpress printing, bookbinding, calligraphy, paper making and book design.
I'll be sure to catch it next year....
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
You people in Colorado do such cool art things! I really missed out when I was living there.
Creativity is a bit boring here in the PHX desert.
When I show a mosaic cake or cupcake at a show here, I'm asked more than a few times...... "What does it do"? Then there is me.....rolling my eyes and trying really hard to not smack! LOL!!!!
Hope your weekend is Great!!!
Hugs!
Michelle

Sounds like a lot of fun, here in the UK there is a car ad made from cake and it looks so scrumptious.

It would be fun to eat your words and not choke on them ;)

There is an edible book show here too but I don't think they invite people to eat them, which sounds like a great idea.

what a way to literally eat your words...
speaking of which; i had a dream in which alphabet soup was poured all over a house interior; the letters were huge; about two feet high and the soup part was a gel. a vision of these books?
