Is it the warmth streaming in....the buds and blooms, beginning to appear...finally
the reason that spring brings LIGHT and helps us BEElieve in change that will come...
noticing this spring light bounce off objects and warm me...
A poem found here, The Mole by W.S. Merwin
Here is yet one
more life that we see only from outside
from the outside
not in itself but later
in signs of its going
a reminder
in the spring daylight
it happened when we were not noticing
and so close to us
that we might not have been here
disregarded as we were
see where we have walked
the earth has risen again
out of its darkness
where it has been recognized
without being seen
known by touch
of the blind velvet fingers
the wise nails
descendants of roots and water
we have seen them
only in death and in pictures
opened from darkness afterward
but here the earth
has been touched and raised
eye has not seen it come
ear has not heard
the famous fur
the moment that finds its way
in the dark without us
what are you noticing this morning?
I've noticed I must stop stressing about all the little things and pay attention to small mercies. xoxox

for some reason, I can't seem to get past that saucer ... makes me wish I were a potter. :)
ps - I did actually read the poem & especially like the last two lines.
... I am noticing that I have been sitting WAY too much.

Hi Steph,
Enjoyed your words (and Art always) and the poem as well. I think we are all waking up to the subtle signs of Spring wherever we live.It stirs from down deep.

Your words and art are always so great. Spring of course has and is here and we have been enjoying it. Soothing is what Spring is to me. Take care and your chicky is so darling.

That chickie popped up on my monitor and cracked me up! Cheerful to the Extreme.

bright and pretty. No matter who or what we're thankful to, thankfulness opens doors and hearts. Thanks for being so life-affirming!

i notice:
i admit with a slight grumble that the temperatures are still below 40 this gray, gray morning. but...i also noticed the past few days that when the sun does pop from beneath the heavy clouds it turns every thing the most fantastic shades of green and yellow and blue! i know it is here,, just hiding beneath the surface as your poem describes, not yet for my eyes. i love that little chick and plate!

noticing tonight:
warmth
the whine of a pup
who wants to sleep
with his boy
the whir of a fan
the light of the lamp
the damp from the bath
now dry
