When the sun does not shine....I have a hard time getting motivated....it's been a melancholy weekend, with some fun and some sadness.... but even sitting on my duff I can help a cause by pointing you in the direction of the button on my left side bar (Support Art Aids Art).
By taking a few minutes to read about the work Art Aids Art is doing for the women of South Africa and the beautiful work they are creating...
and taking a minute to VOTE... you have the potential to raise $25,000 of much needed cash in these cash strapped times to help this organization.
For compassion comes in small packages and can effect real change
Sounds like a private sadness, or perhaps just a passing melancholy but whichever - a hug is a good thing. Hugs. Now off to make some espresso to try to get rid of this headache (caused by a combination of teen, sun, and decisionmaking) and back out to the garden to keep building my wee Shangri La.

Melly and your esposo seem to be solemn but yet enjoying their time together. I think we all go through somber times, reflecting on things and we come out of it hopefully invigorated. I hope your weekend was a good one. We today planted a lot of rose and I bought two David Austin roses for the trellis. Have a great week.Things could always be worse.

Hi Steph! Thanks for the Art Aids post - I went and voted right away. Loved the video and the whole idea behind it. When we were in South Africa we went to Soweto and toured Nelson Mandela's home and had lunch at a great BBQ place in the township. It makes a huge difference to these people to have tourist dollars and to have people come to them and share their lives. I'd love to go to the one in the video and meet the beading artists. Thanks for sharing this, I hope everyone votes! xo frannie

The sun's out now.
I hope that you're feeling better. This western society always rushes sadness and grief. Sometimes it just needs to play out it's own time line. With the love and support of our family (adorable pix of Melly and G) we can just allow sadness to quietly drift by.
Here for you.

I voted... love to you and Mr. R...
