Light showers this morning on GREEN sprouts...yes green is making an appearance here, tulip greens popping up....
and visited the Loveland Art Musuem this weekend to see Harriete Estel Berman's incredible tin work. Her 'Square Yard of Grass' piece is installed here where she ponders the impact of green lawns and the upkeep of such on our environment.
We have a tiny patch of lawn in the back yard that I had wondered about digging up and laying down recycled astro turf....more to ponder myself on this stuff, but would really rather have Harriete's lawn.
Hey- we just had a synthetic putting green installed...I LOVE IT. The space is 20x20'..we interviewed several companies..I am an expert in synthetic lawns now lol Let me know if you want me to send you some pictures.

LOVE the tin grass! Before I read your words, I thought it was cut-up magazine pages.....
I don't think I want to walk on tin grass.....
Or let the dogs walk on it...... :-)

Oh, YES! Bring on the Green! I'm so tired of Winter gray and stick bushes in the yard. When the green starts, the pinkie-red-yellow-blue flowers can't be far behind...

Oh, that tantalizing first hint of spring! We have crocuses and daffodils arising here in Connecticut -- heaven!
A thought about your "lawn" Steph -- have you considered planting a tiny herb garden? How about a patchwork of stones and squares of fragrant thymes?

to green here
yes...
I am an avowed nature girl
so will continue
to bend
with the wabi-sabi
of the here and now
none-the-less...
anticipating
more greening...
loving yours,
