A treated myself...some stripey rocks...picture me on the floor laying rocks stripe to stripe, a meditative process...or could be if Olive didn't try to play too.
and a tiny book to use to remind me of the season now burried under heavy wet snow...
drawing sunflowers, zinnias and marigolds on the beautiful pages.
This will keep me busy...and happy
stripeys are contageous! start carving yours and you'll soon see! nice little book too! your stripeys have such straight lines. mine must be older 'cause they have many thin lines! like me!

Oh, you are SO right! Drawing and painting flowers is the MOST fun and happy making.
These drawings make me happy, even if I didn't draw them myself.
HA!!

What a beautiful book filled with your drawings and paintings! That is certainly something to cherish, Stephanie. And yes! In the heart of winter, it will be a treat to open up that book and remind yourself that soon those flowers will start poking out of the ground in your garden again.

love, love
your treasures
from summer and fall
nestled into the little book
like a tiny book of hours
holding and savoring
the seasons...
and lining up the stripeys
hmmm
well you know how I love that
always some tendril-ing
spiral
curving about on the family table
thank you Steph
and enjoy...

I like this double take bouncing back and forth to the little books, that has given me an idea, I will have to make a little book to bounce along. I have a start, one of those little black stones with a white circle on the tip! Thank you for the inspiration. Sue x
PS This is a double message to both book makers :~>

Beauty comes in so many sizes. Even small can be huge though, when you find drawings like these inside and a cover made by a creative soul the size of Vermont. Missing u.

Love your stripeys! Mine have been patiently sitting in my cold, lonely studio waiting for me to come and play. Hopefully today.

Hi Stephanie. Well Olive has to have fun to. Perhaps she wanted to meditate as well, I can see that.:) Love your little book and the creations you have going there. Not a day goes by that I don't come here and get inspired. I have made one book and it was a lot of work, but I have about 10 little blank books sitting there waiting and waiting...could it be they wait for me to do something with them?? heheheh. Thanks Steph, appreciate all you give us. I never heard of Stripey's before, very nice. I learned two words today "Murmuration" from Rebecca and "Stripey" from you. Yay!

I was curious if youu ever thought of changing the page layout of your website? Its very well written; I loove what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures. Maybe you ckuld space it out better?
