I invite you to join the Art of Remembering at Rebecca's Recuerda Mi Corazon every Sunday from now until Day of the Dead on Nov 2nd...this time of year, when the veil begins to thin our thoughts are united in remembering our loved ones that have passed on.
my piece...Remembrance, will be one of three pieces in the Dia de los Muertos exhibit at the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center and was an important way for me to work through the feelings of my dad's death this past spring.
the Monarchs...this beautiful container of the souls of those departed... circle...and in turn embrace us in the golden light of fluttering wings and the vast golden hues of the marigold.
I will enJOY sharing more of this series each Sunday for the Art of Remembrance and hope that those in the area come to the museum to see the work in person.
This is lovely and very touching, Stephanie!

Your work is spectacular, Steph ! So much love and energy went into each monarch that you created by hand. This is a time to honor your father now and all the good memories.
Thank you again for the book! Only I have a few pages till the end. Mainly what I am realizing is that symbolic things can occur at the very end, if we only have the perception to see. Symbolic occurrences bring me comfort. As if a secret message, just for us to understand.
Life is cou cou round here right now, so I'm not sure about participating this Sunday, but if possible I 'd like to join you and Rebecca in remembering someone loved, who has passed.

Just beautiful Stephanie. Heartfelt tribute to your father. I will start on the first Sunday of October. Love the Monarchs. I have a video on the Monarchs ready to go for November 1, prior to posting DOD. I'm hoping to do so. Beautiful post.
