ominous skies for days and days, relentless rain on already saturated soil...many displaced, my mother finds herself out of her home for the forseeable future
this has been a devastating time for much of northern Colorado...receding waters leaving signs of the turbulent waters that passed
our precious greenway bike path system destroyed in many many places...a river re-routed...years to come people will wonder why this bridge is sitting here when the river is 100 ft south
and the mountain town of Lyons...is there anything left? this image from my neighbor, Langley, taken I believe on hwy 7
and then the rains let up...and I spotted this...a pristine Monarch butterfly
I'll take this as a very good sign
It ebbs and it flows. Such is the way of growth.
Sending lots of love in your direction.

When your butterfly wings have dried out, you will again fly, for paradise will still be
here, perhaps in a different form,
nevertheless still beautiful
though sometimes brutal!
Hugs x

We've been thinking of you and your family Stephanie, as Colorado suffers from nature's wild ways once again. We had a picture of the flooding in Longmont in our local Victoria Times Colonist today. I hope things return to normal very soon.

Glad you are OK there in CO, Stepanie! Was wondering how you were faring with the flooding... Heartbreaking... Glad you are safe. LOVE seeing all signs of hope. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS)) P.S. I’m needing to take an extended digital sabbatical due to health reasons. But I hope to be around when I can.
