stark, dry and brittle
Haiku my Heart...

What a lovely image,
You have captured the essence of the season,
telling the story of winter,
thank you. x

I love these stories... especially when they come from you. I too, wait for the rebirth, nestled deeply within the dry, the brittle, the stark bareness of this time...

I see a faint touch of green at the center. Is it struggling to last? Is it new growth? Only the snow will tell.

I love your haiku Stephanie… I'm listening to icy winds roar through the forest, feeling a bit brittle myself.

here the tiniest bud leaves are forming, the ground warming. hoodwinked gardeners are looking at seed packages and everyone will be floored when winter finally arrives!
