Finally...a place to be...for dad, and for us to sit and remember him.
We reached out to family and asked if they would write a short sentiment about dad that we laid in the ground before laying down his ashes.
laying his remains...pure white and not as much material as I would have guessed.
the city employees that helped prepare the space were so careful and understanding, sharing their own stories of handling the ashes of loved ones...making sure it was all in order and that the concrete gently covered the area
the bench will encompass a view he would have enjoyed.
grateful for the generosity of the Pueblo parks dept, the manager and staff...
grateful for family that supported this effort and lent their thoughts and memories...
grateful for Tess and mom to have made the early morning trip to see this through...
Grateful to you guys for doing this. I wish I could have been there. It's a perfect spot. I can't wait to sit on the bench.

I'm sure that somehow , some way your dad knew you were thinking of him!good that you all could come together for him.I hear you are to get snow , stay warm!
