the weather forecast for May 18 was snow and low temps in the 20's
this seems odd, even for CO spring
one great thing about the blog is looking back to see if this has happened before
brought some flowers in to save a bit of spring
the snow started in earnest....about 6" by the time it was all done
frozen roses.
I am waking up early lately...so am on the lake by 7 most days
it's cool but quickly warms
just me...and the eagles, heron, cormorants and pelicans
peaceful
life floating by.
it was rain rain and more rain...then the sun came out
we are all happy
and the plants are happy because of the rain
I sit in it.
actual time...5/25...for history's sake
and it begins...celebrating this one and showering her with love
just 2 months to go...

she doesn't love being the center of attention but handled it well, and had fun to boot...

the St Vrain is roaring and bringing thoughts of the flood 4 years ago in Sept
signs still abound, this little tree, uprooted and flung into the other tree, easily 10 ft off the ground

and the 100 year high water mark on this public art work, the water was over this bridge and flooding the street above
hope to never see this again since climate change is fake news...oh man.
I travel...a lot these days...for work
I do indeed get to some beautiful places and try to take in what I can
this is much easier this time of year when I have daylight hours after I finish work
Santa Maria and Pismo Beach CA...an incredible dinner at the Oyster Loft
and the sun setting in the Pacific
oh this blog...feeling nostalgic for the old art blog days
friendships made, inspiration abounding
I auto paid for another year before I caught it....so, I feel I need to put something up here
now that summer like weather is here...and I am in town for a week, I have loaded my kayak in my car so that I can head over to the lake each morning for a bit of water meditation...slow and easy
just me...and 3 bald eagles, more white pelicans than I can count, red winged black birds, meadow lark, cormorant, great blue heron
ahhhhh...yes.

it's spring in the Mango Studio regardless of what mother nature is dishing out
we'll have hot chai to keep the chill off
