Light showers this morning on GREEN sprouts...yes green is making an appearance here, tulip greens popping up....
and visited the Loveland Art Musuem this weekend to see Harriete Estel Berman's incredible tin work. Her 'Square Yard of Grass' piece is installed here where she ponders the impact of green lawns and the upkeep of such on our environment.
We have a tiny patch of lawn in the back yard that I had wondered about digging up and laying down recycled astro turf....more to ponder myself on this stuff, but would really rather have Harriete's lawn.

White is the color of the moment...snow on the ground since October and our snowiest months of March and April still ahead.
Scenes like this one on my windowsill help to remind me to breath deeply of the moment and the magic of this white light ...
a trip booked HERE for April doesn't hurt either...
I've been gone...now I'm home, thought I'd post this from the road but that just didn't happen.
treasures that Olive found....
oh Olive, leave it...can be heard any time of the day and night
this time though it was not off to the trash with the fresh find....this time a soaked wasps nest and pure white feathers...
tinged with brown....left us from a Hawk visit
a vision of color and texture...one of those Magellanic wonders...now settling into the Mango Studio
It's that view of the world that I am fascinated with...
each detail of leaf veins and shell tunnels....tiny landscapes unfolding
made me smile to discover this...

This January full moon shone brightly in my window all night long...early morning it shone big and orange
jumped in the car with the camera and headed to Golden ponds to capture it toying with Longs Peak
and the birds playing in the glow. This is the moon that begins to lead us out of the January cold, isolation and endings and into the new
playing myself with photoshop filters to create this image
How are you playing in the moon glow?
One definition of the devil's in the detail..."to refer to very small but ultimately important component of a larger task".
I have felt at a loss without the ability to focus my camera's eye on these details....
because the big picture is quite different...
Happily playing with my new/old camera
New Years eve....2010...come along with me on a walk along the Trail of Lights
under this ever present Blue moon....truly once in a blue moon kind of night
the creek lit with tiny lights
trees wrapped, magically lighting our way
decorated for the season and offering a warm place to escape the cold
other places...to escape and play around...
some of our little elves throwing a smoke bomb or two, just to add some more color
we wore glasses that turn the lights into snowflakes (glasses placed in front of the camera lens) dancing with the full moon
Here I am.
