leisurely painting birds in the studio that I saw on my bike while listening to David Whyte on Krista Tippet...one to listen to again and again
planting swiss chard, beets, radishes, parsley and transplanting garlic in the garden while the rest of our seedlings grow HUGE, ready to plant in a few weeks.
island life is definitely agreeing with Greg...looking forward to actually talking to him in a day or so

my holiday vacation is coming to an end but have had many days of long sleeps, playing outside, cleaning the studio...a nice start to this new year
Last month Tess had a big birthday...the kiddo turned 30 so we treated ourselves to a little getaway celebration to Puerto Morelos. Stormy skies made for dramatic backdrops, hot and perfect for down time relaxation. A side trip to a special cenote but mostly just hanging out...
Always fun making special memories...
We rode 122 miles along the Mickelson Trail in the South Dakota black hills...
we rode in rain and shine...in wind and hail...through leaf strewn stretches of fall color,
the trail takes you over 100 bridges, some spanning long stretches high over rivers
we stayed in vintage motels and B & B's...ate lots of greasy burgers in funny little bars
the best!
I was in south Florida for the week for work and was able to spend a few hours at the John D MacArthur Beach State Park...a biological treasure of mangrove forests, birds and fish of all types and a beautiful long stretch of beach
a rainbow after the afternoon rain..
a long boardwalk that leads you through the forested areas from the beach...
and I had to jump in to experience that warm Atlantic water!
